It appears to be anybody’s game for Dancing with the Stars season four. Although there were many assumptions and speculations on who would get axed first, the results of the first elimination were deemed to be shocking.

Surprisingly, Dancing with the Stars sent home Paulina Porizkova and dance partner Alec Mazo. Despite the couple’s mediocre performance, not to mention Porizkova’s sophistication and graceful execution of her dance routine, they were voted off on the first results show, which aired Tuesday, March 27, 2007. And although the couple trained extensively, their dance act just was not enough to fascinate the interest of the voters of Dancing with the Stars.

Porizkova, a 41-year old Czech supermodel turned actress, escalated to fame when she graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1984 and 1985. She also made appearances on Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Self, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. As an actress, she worked in films like Her Alibi, Knots, and Roommates to name a few. In addition, she has also written several books. As for Mazo, he is known as a professional ballroom dancer. This Russian-born dancer is presently based in San Francisco and has been part of Dancing with the Stars since its premier season. Prior to his stint on the show, he studied at UC Berkeley and acquired a degree in cognitive science. As a professional dancer, he won the Emerald Ball Latin Amateur Champion, and landed first place in the 2001 International Grand Ball in San Francisco, and the 2001 Holiday Ball in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Among the participants, many anticipated that Clyde Drexler, Billy Ray Cyrus, or Leeza Gibbons would be the first to exit the popular celebrity competition, based on their not so remarkable performance. Given this, it is very intriguing to imagine the outcome of the coming eliminations.

It’s been pretty quiet for Brooke Ellen Bollea, better known as Brooke Hogan of the Hogan Knows Best fame. The reality show has momentarily stopped production, but the 19-year-old reality star is intent on getting back on the spotlight. In fact, Bollea is seriously considering becoming part of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, the highly-watched Primetime Emmy Award-nominated reality show which pairs up a celebrity with a professional dancer to battle it out on the dance floor. The competition will then be judged by both a panel of judges and the televiewers.

Brooke Bollea’s very own father, wrestling superstar Terrence Gene “Terry” Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, has confirmed in a conversation with Newsweek that his daughter is determined to pursue her reality stardom by being part of Dancing with the Stars. He also updated fans on what his family is up to now that their reality show is off the air.

“[Brooke]’s singing,” Hulk Hogan said in the interview. “She auditioned for Dancing with the Stars yesterday. I think she may have her own extension of Hogan Knows Best.”

Brooke Bollea, the firstborn of Terry and Linda Bollea, originally wanted to become a singer, and her aspirations were chronicles in Hogan Knows Best. She also became the first artist to sign with Scott Storch’s label, Storch Music Company. By October 2006, she released her debut album entitled “Undiscovered.” Brooke also appeared on the cover of FHM magazine, thus becoming the first cover model of the magazine under the age of 21.

Right now, Brooke’s stint on Dancing with the Stars is yet to be confirmed by the reality show itself, but many believe that this would be a good career move. Her exposure on the so-called “makeover vehicle” reality series, she could probably turn the attention to herself, rather than to her family’s controversies, which include her brother’s serious charges over a vehicular accident and her parents’ disastrous divorce.

I am wanting to know the name of the song that Jessica Simpson sang last night on Dancing With the Stars? It was the remake. I think it was called Angels. I want to know who originally sang the song.

After four weeks of painstaking competition, Dancing with the Stars continues to be more surprising and intriguing. But before moving on to next week’s contest, let’s take a glance on what transpired on last night’s elimination show, which left Dancing with the Stars with just eight pairs remaining.

Dancing with the Stars, a celebrity dance contest broadcast on ABC, features celebrities paired with professional dancers as they try to win over a panel of three judges, the votes of the audience and the online voters. Thrown in a highly competitive dance environment, the participants attempt to avoid elimination, and linger on until hailed as the winner.

Apart from its celebrity participants and intricate dance routines, Dancing with the Stars is also known for creatively incorporating tension and suspense. And that’s exactly what happened on last night’s episode. Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson, one of the best pairs that seemingly owned the contest last night with their Paso Doble moves, was called in the final two countdown. Of course, their being in the bottom two is not entirely based on their score since they garnered a whopping 28, the highest in last night’s competition.

What’s a bit unexpected is seeing Clyde Drexler and Elena Grinenko shun away from the final two. Although Drexler clearly demonstrated quite a sloppy and poor performance, he managed to avoid the pit…well at least for last night’s contest. Many actually believe that he’s bound for elimination any time soon.

On the other hand, some aspects of last night’s show proved to be predictable. The bottom two, which consisted of Leeza Gibbons and John Ratzenberger, was again quite anticipated. Both pairs acquired less than average scores and relatively exhibited stale and dragging dance routines.

Furthermore, the night ended with the elimination of Gibbons and dance partner Dovolani.
