Groshan Fabiola asked: e four weeks of intense and serious dancing at Dancing with the Stars, some things changed while some things remained the same.
Figure skating gold medalist, Kristi Yamaguchi, and her partner Mark Ballas, once again waltzed their way to the top of the judges’ scoreboard via a near flawless paso doble number. The particular intensity of the dance brought out the emotion and drama out of the typically technical figure skater. She conceded about her tendency to be focused more on the technical aspect of a dance instead of its emotional side. The pair got 29 out of a possible 30 points.
After four consecutive weeks of solid performances, Dancing with the Stars viewers now seriously doubt if anyone could topple the wonder tandem from the top. This week, one pair rose to the occasion. The pair of football player Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska impressed the Dancing with the Stars judges with a very ****** Viennese waltz, a performance that the judges thought also deserved a 29, putting the pair right on top with Yamaguchi and Ballas. Actress Shannon Elizabeth almost made it a three-way tie for first place with a very spirited performance herself.
The bottom two for this week are comedian Adam Corolla and his partner Julianne Hough and actress Priscilla Presley and her partner Louis Van Amstel. Corolla, who came into the dance floor in a Zorro-inspired outfit riding a unicycle en route to perform a paso doble number, apparently did not impress the viewers. They were sent home packing.
At the middle of the pack and will be back next week are the pairs of Yamaguchi, Taylor, Elizabeth, actress Marlee Matlin, actor Cristian de la Fuente, RNB star Mario, and Broadway star, Marissa Jaret Winokur.
The live musical act for the evening was Sheryl Crow, with her standards “All I Wanna Do” and “Out of our Heads.”
